the passengers were drinking, but the chp says the driver was above the adult legal limit of .0 ai. the chp says he lost control on novato boulevard as he rounded a curve hitting an an on coming big rig with a load of cattle. >> the vehicle was traveling westbound. we believe it was a fair lehigh rate of speed -- fairly high rate of speed due to the length of the skidmarks. >> all of the boys were from novato high. one was pronounced dead at the scene and two others treated for major injuries and two with minor injuries. the driver was charged with driving under the influence. >> there what is an emergency uh united states no meant saying all teachers without a third prerd have to meet in the library. many students and parents were surprised to learn the accident happened just before noon. lunch doesn't begin until 12:15. >> that's disturbing.

walker's decision -- judge vaughn walker's decision. it was the deadline for gay marriage opponents. the other side has until next month to respond. pg&e has agreed to released the information everyone has been demanding since the san bruno pipeline blast. they mapped the 100 most hazardous natural gas pipelines, but it has kept the information secret. today two federal agencies and the state public utilities commission laid on the pressure. and as david louie reports, it worked. >> the state public utilities commission sent this letter to pg&e, specifically asking for the list of 100 most hazardous gas pipelines and their specific locations. the agency along with pg&e have been under pressure for a week by state and federal law i can makers and by the governor that the public and first responders need that information. >> it has to have the level of detail necessary so we can identify where the pipe goes so people who have a right to know what's under their house.

>> pg&e isn't saying what it plans to do. although abc7 news has learned the utility could releasedmaps and the list on monday. >> what is or is not provided and in understanding what the cpc is requesting is something that we are currently working with with respect to pg&e, and we will be in contact to make sure we completely understand the request. and then we will be able to provide a response to that. right now because we have recently received it, we are currently evaluating what we received. >> the location of the pipelines has been mapped by a number of sources. this one was released during a rate increase hearing in sacramento last night. the state regulators want pg&e to develop a plan with manual shutoff valves with automatic valves. the ruptured pipeline was one of them. peninsula residents say they are anxious to get the maps from pg&e. >> you don't want to let the wrong people know that information. in this case, i really think they need to let the

homeowners know. >> what's more important? people's safety, people's lives or security? are they concerned somebody will do something bad to them? >> well, a lot could happen between now and over the weekend until monday's expected released of the list. that's because there seems to be an apparent disconnect between what state officials are asking pg&e to do and the apparent confusion by pg&e as to what it plans to do. jerry hill says if pg&e was less than forthright in full disclosure, he will introduce a bill that will force pg&e to comply. in san bruno, david louie, abc7 news. >> now, if you want to find out if you live near a high pressure gas transmission line, all you have to do is call. the number is on your screen, 1-800-743-5000. now, this isn't to find out if you live near one of the 100 hazardous lines, just to get the general location of the

pipelines in your area. we have posted this phone number on our website, abc7news.com. as we reported earlier this week, one of pg&e's highest risk gas lines runs through fremont. it is four miles long and will cost an estimated $13 million to replace. fremont city leaders were not able to get much information about the line from the utility. but today pg&e agreed to go before the city council one week before tuesday. >> we expect to get more information on that particular line in fremont. really it is just to discuss the line itself in general and the risk terminology. that will be important for all of us to have a clear understanding. >> san bruno city officials offered to clear debris from the property of 37 pipeline fire victims who lost their homes. it will be free as long as the homeowners sign a waiver. residents whose homes are damaged are doing the clean up work themselves or hired contractors to do it. a vigil was held in honor

of jessica morales. the 20-year-old died in the explosion and fire in san bruno last week. amy hollyfield was there as loved ones remembered a vibrant, happy young woman. >> she wasn't even supposed to be there. >> she switched her day of work. she couldn't watch the game, but yeah, wrong place at the wrong time. >> 20-year-old jessica morales was at her boyfriend's san bruno home when the explosion happened. 19-year-old joseph gomez was severely burned as he tried to save her. he is still in the hospital with second and third-degree burns over 40% of his body. but tonight jessica's friends and family tried to focus on her life and not how she died. >> we are trying to just remember what a great person she was and not think of tragedy and just hold her in our hearts and know she is in a better place.

>> loved ones came together in daily city for a vigil. her parents decided to keep the service private. >> she was -- she had a very beautiful pink coffin. she would have loved it because she was into fal. >> she was very good at making friends which was apparent at her vigil. >> she had a good personality. she brought you up when you were down. she was a great person overall. she is going to be missed. >> jessica hoped to be a fashion journalist and was taking classes of academy of art university in san francisco. >> she had a lot going for herself. she went young, but we will always remember her. >> i feel like i lost my own daughter. i am going to miss her tremendously. there is no words that can express how much i will miss her. >> tomorrow the feme -- the family will hold a memorial for jessica and she will be buried on monday. amy hollyfield.

and more than a thousand people attended the funeral mass for a mother and daughter who were killed in the san bruno fire. 44-year-old jacqueline and 13-year-old janessa greg lived next to the site. it was at the catholic church where janessa attended school. she played basketball and volleyball and was the student body president. >> she was so bright. she radiated the classroom. everyone enjoys having her around. >> it is important for us to be here to support the family and to have closure to this terrible event. >> jackie greg worked for the california public utilities commission for 20 years which is one of the agencies investigating the explosion. other news, a u.s. airways 757 on its way from phoenix to maui made an emergency landing at sfo. it happened after the pilot

there is a one-year-old crawling on a highway and terrifying drivers. look at this kid crawl on to the street. they waited for other motorists to get out of the way. the infant got away from his mother. drivers called the police who returned the baby to his mother. she was released after spending a short time in custody. secretary of state hillary clinton is calling for the released of two american inmates being held. sarah shourd will arrive in new york this weekend. shourd will hold a news conference on sunday. mahmoud only din gnaw god said she was released because of health issues. shourd's aunt lives in berkeley and said she talked to her after the released. >> she said one thing that was constant she felt that they treated her like a child. she was in solitary confinement and she had to

continually say to them, i am a strong woman. i am not a child. >> she said sara told her she will not feel free until the released of her fiancee and their friend. california's unemployment rate went up slightly from 12.3% in july to 12.4% in august. but the bay area is faring a little better. the jobless rate in the san francisco metra pollin area is at 9 -- in the metropolitan area is 9.3%. the oakland metro area fell to 11.5% it combines alameda and contra costa counties. and the san jose metro area dropped to 11.2%. more than two million people are unemployed in california. if you are looking for work, you might find it at the next job fair sponsored by abc7. it will be held on tuesday at the hotel whit come in san francisco. we have all of the details at

abc7news.com slash jobs right there on our website. it is a resource that may help you or someone you know. it turns out two tornados tore through part of new york city last night. the national weather service says the worst damage was done by a fierce microburst eight miles long and five miles wide. it packed winds up to 125 miles an hour. the storms toppled hundreds of trees in brooklyn and queens including one that killed a woman sitting in a parked car. unusual weather in new york city. now let's focus on our weather. the weekend has arrived and there are changes to talk about. sandhya patel is here with that. >> showers is what we will talk about, dan. but it is not going to be a complete washout this weekend. let me show you first what it looked like from the high definition south beach camera. gu a sign of the change to could -- just a sign of the change to come. we saw the low clouds as we got to the east bay. midand higher clouds moving in, and that's what gave us the humid feel earlier in the

day. we had drizzle this morning and dense fog. as we look at live doppler 7hd, nothing falling from the clouds. just a little more humidity in the air. as you look at some of the reports, the water temperature is running high. this one reporting water temperature of 60 degrees. it is no wonder that the temperatures right now around the bay area are running mild once again. we are looking at temperatures in the low to mid60s. it is 64 in napa, 63 in half moon bay. also inland in livermore. it is going to be a mild night. drizzle overnight, muggy and mild tomorrow. we are looking at showers swinging through here on sunday. quick-moving system. here is the satellite and the radar. the system brought some rain to the northwestern portion of california. up to half an inch there. that did not bring us any rain, but this is our main rain maker.

it is tapping into some moisture, and that is what's going to result in the rainfall. let me take you through time beginning tomorrow morning. lots of clouds and drizzle in the morning. and then we are looking at the clouds pulling away. partly cloudy as far as the midand high level clouds inland and mild tomorrow. then you head toward the sunday morning time frame. the showers begin to move into the north bay. 2:00 a.m., the cold front approaches. the showers begin to spread. by 10:00 a.m., the front is moving through the bay area. so showers continuing to press south. 1k3* then the front falls apart as it moves to the east. we are looking at just clouds lingering into sunday evening. so if you are making plans, sunday will be your wetter of the two days. rainfall totals, a 10th to a quarter of an inch. anywhere from a hundredth to a 10th of an inch. the south bay may get missed entirely. zero to a hundredth of an inch toward sunday evening.

our state is in a real mess. and i'm not going to give you any phony plans or snappy slogans that don't go anywhere. we have to make some tough decisions. we have to live within our means. we have got to take the power from the state capitol and move it down to the local level, closer to the people. and no new taxes, without voter approval. we have got to pull together not as republicans or as democrats but as californians first. at this stage in my life, i'm prepared to do exactly that.
